Acode Fixport Function The cash drawer comes with an Acode Fixport Utility (for Windows).

This utility will create a Virtual (Serial) COM port, make it appear to operating system or application as a standard RS232 serial port.

When you need to physically disconnect the cash drawer, the Virtual Serial (COM) port remains in the Device Manager, completely avoid virtual serial port disappearing/reappearing problem.

After reconnecting the cash drawer, the Virtual (Serial) COM port number will remain the same, without the need for COM port reconfiguration.

Furthermore, with our Virtual (Serial) COM port, even if you disconnect the cash drawer without closing COM port, it will not cause system hang up.
