  A. Line Printer , Laser Printer and Inkjet printer without cash drawer port , how to open cash drawer ?

Some stores, such as furniture stores, use Line Printer , Laser Printer and Inkjet printer to place orders and collect payments. However, these printers do not have the open cash drawer function, s there a way to open the cash drawer ?

What choice you have ?

  B. Can I use HTML to open cash drawer and detect the cash drawer open or closed status ?

AT09W  or AT10U3 USB Browser-Based cash drawer trigger. Install our utility and add simple coding on your web page to use it. Currently, this utility can only be used on Windows. (Both models can detect the open and closed status of the cash drawer)

  C. How to Auto Open Cash Drawer use windows command ?

Windows Key + R

Type “cmd” and click “OK”.

Serial port : Type con>com(port number) and click “OK”

Type “any code ” and click “OK”

The cash drawer opens.

FAQ-020. My Android device do not support open cash drawer , how can i do ?

  A. My Android handheld Terminal device app does not support the cash drawer opening feature, what should I do?

  A. What is the cash drawer opening code for Epson POS printers?

ESC p 0 1B,70,00 Epson cash drawer 1 open command
ESC p 1 1B,70,01 Epson cash drawer 2 open command

  B. What is the cash drawer opening code for Star POS printers?

ASCII : ESC p m t1 t2

How to identify cash drawer sensor ? (Important)

Two types of cash drawer sensors :  Normal Close or Normal Open (typically RJ12 pin 3 & 6).

1. Cash Drawer  Sensor “Normal Open” – When the cash drawer is Close (RJ12 Pin 3 or Pin 6 disconnect).

2. Cash Drawer Sensor “Normal Close”  – When the cash drawer is Close (RJ12 Pin 3 or Pin 6 connected).

It is best to ask your cash drawer supplier if the cash drawer is closed, RJ12 pin 3 and 6 connected  or disconnect ?
